QUESTION: What do you mean when you say ‘biological adaptations’, and why that is important to determine how we should live?

ANSWER: The term ‘biological adaptations’ accurately points out that the animated biology of Life is a constant, ongoing process of adapting to local conditions. Not only is each species thoroughly adapted to local conditions in the larger sense, but also that each individual has a certain degree of built-in flexibility in order to cope with fluctuations, sometimes extreme fluctuations in local conditions, in order to survive the challenges of life.

Being aware of how you are made (anatomy), how you operate (physiology), and how your mind works (psychology) directly demonstrates your optimized biological adaptations. Those three, coupled with your own built-in intuition and instincts, directly informs you of your optimal needs of life, moment by moment. These three indicators tells you how to live for optimum health. Anything less will result in less-than-optimum health.

QUESTION: How come beauty is the exception and the not the standard in modern day civilization?

ANSWER: Beauty is the exception for much of humanity, mostly because of the lack of knowledge and practice of that which contributes most to the development of human beauty: truly healthful living.

As internal body conditions degenerate, generation after generation with chronic problems such as nutritional deficiencies and environmental pollution, normal healthy human development suffers. In our increasingly anti-natural ‘modern’ world, healthy human development is choked, detoured and diminished by massive amounts of chemical pollution of air, water, and food.

Non-food, junk food, environmental saturation with EMFs, artificial lifestyles, technological addictions, along with all kinds of other addictions cause constant deterioration of all aspects of human health. This degeneration is reflected outward as a lack of beauty, symmetry and balanced development in appearance. Much more can be said about this subject.

QUESTION: What do you mean when using the term ‘biological heritage’?

ANSWER: Heritage means ‘any practice, attribute or immaterial possession that is inherited from ancestors’. Biological heritage refers to the evolutionary history of Homo Sapiens, along with the diets and lifestyles practiced by our distant and more recent ancestors. This should also take into account the migration of humans to all parts of the Earth, which greatly impacted their lifestyles and diets along the way.

QUESTION: You state that health is normal and natural, why is there so much disease in the world?

ANSWER: I often comment that good health is normal and natural, but poor health, mal-development, and chronic disease is very common. IOW, normal is what should exist in a healthy person and should exist throughout society. What is common, however, is that we see disease all around. Those words – normal and common – are not synonymous. For example, proper and proportional body weight is normal, overweight/obesity is common.

As for the reason there is so much disease, that will be covered in depth in future courses in your Natural Hygiene Essentials Program (NHEP).

QUESTION: Is it possible in this day and age to create ideal natural living conditions for ourselves, or is there any place left in the world where there are ideal conditions for humanity?

ANSWER: You can certainly find many places where the climate and nature feels best for you. I was born and raised in a temperate climate in North America, with months of cold and snow every winter. I knew I preferred the tropics, and moved there as soon as I could. The ideal, in my opinion, is to find the climate that suits your temperament best, acquire some land, and develop it organically to the best of your ability. You will be glad you did.

QUESTION: What do you mean by saying, “Since the beginning of time, every animal practices its own “Natural Hygiene”?

ANSWER: Natural Hygiene is the detailed study of Nature, of humanity, and how they ideally fit together. By carefully observing and analyzing human anatomy, physiology and psychology, we determine the ideal health needs of the human being. All of this study takes place not separate from Nature, as does medicine and science, but within the embrace of Nature.

Nature Works. Always has and always will. Therefore, all plant and animal species that exist within Nature most certainly are successful, precisely because each living thing instinctively knows its needs and supplies them to the best of its ability. When successful in meeting its needs, it thrives.

This same analysis applies directly to human beings as well. If we determine our human needs and meet them, understand our place in Nature, and do our best to harmonize both, excellent health results every time.

QUESTION: Is there any other system out there, like Natural Hygiene, that studies health instead of disease?

ANSWER: As far as I am aware, the philosophy of every other system of health care and disease care approaches the subject from a somewhat biased and awkward perspective. In other words, no other health care system looks to Nature as being the Master Teacher In All Things regarding human health.

Humanity comes from Nature, has been totally immersed in Nature, has a profound connection to Nature, and has been dependent on Nature for hundreds of thousands if not millions of years. In all that time, the symbiosis of Man and Nature developed to a very highly refined state… exactly as it has developed for every other living thing in Nature.

Therefore, it seems to me that it makes perfect sense to look to Nature for all the answers we need to make and keep ourselves healthy, and how to best recover health if problems arise.

We will study this issue more carefully in all of the subsequent Courses in the Natural Hygiene Essentials Program.

QUESTION: How come I have never heard of Natural Hygiene before?

ANSWER: That is an excellent question, and I can only speculate about the answer.

It is strange to realize that every species that has ever existed on Earth has naturally followed its built-in instincts to live healthfully and naturally… except one: Humanity.

Homo Sapiens seems to be the first and only creature that has the capacity to purposefully ignore its natural instincts… and it most certainly does that! We have strayed far from our foundations. The results are mixed. We exhibit amazing creativity in our ability to manipulate Nature to suit our own needs, which has allowed humanity to exponentially reproduce, such that our species has largely taken over the Earth. We are at 8,000,000,000 population of human beings as of early 2023.

Would you say humanity is healthier, happier and wiser today, then we were in the past? Are we actually improving our overall health and well-being? Are we treating the Earth and all its other living beings with respect and care?

So, “Why haven’t I heard of Natural Hygiene before?”

Perhaps the reason is that Natural Hygiene, by its insistence that human health and well-being fully depends on realigning our activities to re-harmonize with Nature and our natural instincts, runs so very contrary to the indoctrinated beliefs of so many people. Most of humanity has strayed quite far from Nature and has still survived. Our prideful human ego tells us this is a good thing. Our ability to manipulate Nature has enabled and encouraged the vast majority of humanity to live very unnatural, artificial lives. The results of doing that are the incomprehensible and horrific physical, mental and emotional disease statistics, which show no signs of slowing down.

Accompanying this wholesale deviation from Nature are the bizarre ideas, theories and systems of ‘health care’ that have appeared throughout recorded history. Based on their results, humanity clearly has little or no idea of what it is doing regarding its health and well-being.

Some other factors are the developments of trade, commerce and money. With all human activity reframed as economic profit or loss, and the value of Nature’s systems that provide air, water, stable temperature and abundant living ecosystems being largely ignored or valued as ‘free’, humanity now sets value and ‘profits’ from a strange and bizarre paradigm that has evolved over centuries. This economic model is structured such that unnatural systems of health and disease care are deemed intelligent and profitable, while wholly natural systems of health and disease care are not.

The same bizarre, warped logic applies to the methods humanity uses to obtain its sustenance from Nature. Instead of carefully caring for and nurturing life and natural systems on Earth, our economic systems are structured such that blatantly raping Nature is deemed most efficient, effective and profitable.

The net result of all of this is an alienation from Nature that has caused, and continues to cause a severe degradation and degeneration of both humanity and Nature. For some strange reason much of humanity seems locked into these unnatural, destructive paradigms, and finds it difficult to reconsider better, natural ways of conducting itself.

Ironically, the path to a far superior way of creative natural living patiently awaits all of us, whenever we are ready to take that Path. All human needs can most certainly, and rather easily be supplied by working in harmony with Nature. If we ever fall prey to the belief that harming or destroying Nature is the only way to secure our needs, we must admit that we are grossly wrong.

This is simple to realize, because Nature has already encountered and solved countless challenges facing Life over eons. Nature has infinite creativity. Whatever problem Life has encountered, Nature has already seen it and worked on it extensively. Nature has already come up with wholly sustainable, regenerative methods to solve every problem. If we ever have a problem to solve, Nature has already solved it. We simply need to consult Nature for the answer.

If and when humanity totally reconfigures its science and engineering methods to focus on studying and mimicking Nature’s solutions, we will have set ourselves on a new, novel and beautiful path toward a society that actually works with Nature. Humanity can, and must, fully cooperate and complement Nature, if we wish to live up to our potential. With the help of Nature, we can evolve ourselves beyond the traps and dangers we have fallen into, time and time again.
